3/21 Internet, Twitter, Facebook

The internet is probably the most prized possesion today. Without it, I doubt the world would function as smoothly as it is today. Many millionaires and billionaires started off using the internet to create giant companies today such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google.

Twitter has taken over the world! That's right, Twitter has been growing exponentially over the past year. It's a new type of social media website that lets you "tweet" about anything at anytime. Whether you're eating, using the restroom, or just smoking, people will actually tweet what they're doing live! It may seem stupid at first but as you continue to use it, you'll be addicted to it. The one thing that is great about twitter is that it gives you up to second information. If something just happen in the world, you'll be able to find the news faster than CNN. It's very helpful but at the same time wasting your life away.

Facebook with about 500 million users is the biggest social network of them all. I'm pretty sure you know and have Facebook so I won't waste your time explaining it but over the years Facebook helped many people connect with their old friends. Facebook is more personal than Twitter but social networking is still the same.

3/16 Changing GSU

If I could change one thing at GSU, I would change the campus layout. Georgia state university isn't as big as other campuses with this many students. With 30,000+ students, GSU is quite small. That's one thing but the major problem I have is the connectiveness of the campus. Aderhold, for example, is way outside the central location of GSU. It should have have more buildings in between to make it feel like one.

3/14 tsunami effects on Japan and the world

If you've been living on earth for the last few days, you would have seen the Tsunami coverage literally on every website and every channel. Thousands of people are killed and whole cities are destroyed. The worst is yet to come. Japan is known for it's vast electronics and automobiles. Sony,Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Honda, Toyota, and many more companies are shut down. Not only will there be shortages on these products, there will be a devastating effect on Japan's economy. Short term effects will be food and water shortages but in the long run, other countries that rely on Japan to build products will be affected. If they can't get their supplies to build products, people will be laid off. This could well be the next recession.

In addition to the earthquake and Tsunami, the nuclear plants over there are overheating and are leaking dangerous radiation levels into the air. People have been evacuating and it seems like it will be the next Chernobyl. If this leaks, the clouds will possibly move towards the United States west coast and will have a devastating effect on America.
