3/21 Internet, Twitter, Facebook

The internet is probably the most prized possesion today. Without it, I doubt the world would function as smoothly as it is today. Many millionaires and billionaires started off using the internet to create giant companies today such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google.

Twitter has taken over the world! That's right, Twitter has been growing exponentially over the past year. It's a new type of social media website that lets you "tweet" about anything at anytime. Whether you're eating, using the restroom, or just smoking, people will actually tweet what they're doing live! It may seem stupid at first but as you continue to use it, you'll be addicted to it. The one thing that is great about twitter is that it gives you up to second information. If something just happen in the world, you'll be able to find the news faster than CNN. It's very helpful but at the same time wasting your life away.

Facebook with about 500 million users is the biggest social network of them all. I'm pretty sure you know and have Facebook so I won't waste your time explaining it but over the years Facebook helped many people connect with their old friends. Facebook is more personal than Twitter but social networking is still the same.

3/16 Changing GSU

If I could change one thing at GSU, I would change the campus layout. Georgia state university isn't as big as other campuses with this many students. With 30,000+ students, GSU is quite small. That's one thing but the major problem I have is the connectiveness of the campus. Aderhold, for example, is way outside the central location of GSU. It should have have more buildings in between to make it feel like one.

3/14 tsunami effects on Japan and the world

If you've been living on earth for the last few days, you would have seen the Tsunami coverage literally on every website and every channel. Thousands of people are killed and whole cities are destroyed. The worst is yet to come. Japan is known for it's vast electronics and automobiles. Sony,Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Honda, Toyota, and many more companies are shut down. Not only will there be shortages on these products, there will be a devastating effect on Japan's economy. Short term effects will be food and water shortages but in the long run, other countries that rely on Japan to build products will be affected. If they can't get their supplies to build products, people will be laid off. This could well be the next recession.

In addition to the earthquake and Tsunami, the nuclear plants over there are overheating and are leaking dangerous radiation levels into the air. People have been evacuating and it seems like it will be the next Chernobyl. If this leaks, the clouds will possibly move towards the United States west coast and will have a devastating effect on America.

3/9

After watching the clip I thought that teachers should have a say in their salaries. They shouldn't eliminate collective bargaining. In fact, they should give a pay raise to teachers. They're the one where we learn information from as we grow up. It's a basic necessity.
As for the democrats hiding, it is true for republicans as well when there is an issue that they want to "thwart a vote on the measure." The region they're trying to imply here in this video is most likely the middle east. Maybe Afghanistan or Iraq because there was a "terrorist" in the video and "check points."

1) "Mile after mile of unforgiving terrain devoid of any sign of humanity."
He's trying to say that Illinois or wherever he was going is kind of like a war zone. This clip can be looked at like the aftermath of the Tsunami in Indonesia in 2004.

2) "The Rockford Province"
I think he was referring to all of the mountains and caves in the middle east where all of these senators are hiding just like Bin laden.

3) "So I could put it on my Facebook page..."
Instead of having proof to bring them to justice, he's gonna put it on facebook. Basically he just trying to be the "first" to have proof of these senators before everyone else. He is trying to be popular on facebook I guess.

4) "It's kinda like Hooters...ah, a Scottish-type Hooters I suppose."
Maybe this was suppose to show how unproductive these senators are. First they're hiding in the "Rockford Province" and now they're having a fund time at a Scottish Hooters. I don't know why but this reminds me of Bill Clinton who is the President of the United States having an affair with Monica Lewinsky. He shouldn't be having fun especially in the biggest position of all.

5) "Your Wisconsin cheese will run red with blood."
I think he's saying something about killing people.

6) "That would be f-cking golden."
They were referring to the fact that if they find where the senators are hiding, it would be "f-cking golden." I think they're also trying to make fun of how Rod Blagojevich who was trying to exchange an appointment of Obama's seat for money.

7)"The Infamous I-90 Pass"
I guess this kind of refers to the underground railroad in a way because it because it was also used for slaves to escape and here these democratic senators are using this I-90 as their passage.

8) "The Wisconsin 15"
Personally it so sounds to me like a gang. This phrase reminds me of "little rock nine".

9) "If I order a chalupa can I just go?"
I think he is showing us how if we pay people, they will let you go through. Drive-thrus are basically check points.

10) "Women here are forced to wear dehumanizing 17th Century clothing and deliver nachos for the men-folk."
Maybe this was trying to show how women were being treated badly back in the day. They're basically slaves for men.

3/7 Can't tell me nothin!

The first video was satirizing how egoistic celebrities can be. Even though Tila Tequila is barely known, she bragged about how she starred in movies and reality shows to Jennifer Aniston, who is a much bigger celebrity. On the otherhand, Zach was somewhat inconsiderate when Jennifer came out for the interview. He kept talking to Tila, which her 15 minutes of fame is up.

The video Can't tell me nothin parody is just made for fun. I think Zach, as a comedian, is just trying to make people watching his videos laugh. That's what comedians do. I try not to over think some videos because I'm pretty sure you can say anything negative to any videos out there. It's pretty my your imagination. Is it a homage? Well, maybe the video is acknowledging Kanye's greatness and weirdness at the same time. Kanye is one weird fellow, I might say. He's just different from everyone else. Maybe Zach was trying to capture that moment by riding on a tractor rapping to the song, standing in the middle of a corn field, and having girls dance in the middle of a field. Or maybe even he's trying to say how Kanye West music is spreading into the countryside. Who knows.
